JENA BURGIN-PETERS

Jena has worked in entertainment for more than three decades as a dancer, singer, choreographer, director, producer and dance educator. She made her film debut as a featured backup dancer in the movie "Dirty Dancing", then went on to work professionally for entertainment mogul, Merv Griffin. Jena had the privilege of working under renowned choreographers such as Barry Lather (In living Color, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Sting, Usher, Rhianna, Prince), Helene Phillips (Madonna, A Chorus Line the Movie, Solid Gold) and Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, Shag, High School Musical). She continues to work in the Industry as a choreographer for commercials, film and video for clients such as Harris Teeter, Nascar, Coke, Belk, Shumacher Homes, and NC Educational Lottery. Jena has served as a guest artist at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte and continues to be sought after all over the country for her innovative style and empowering teaching methods.
